IC3PEAK

IC3PEAK is a Russian alternative music band created in 2013 in Moscow. It consists of Nastya Kreslina (lyricist and singer) and Nikolay Kostylev (composer) . The duo initially recorded songs almost exclusively in English, however, they later started recording in Russian.

Their fifth album, СКАЗКА (Fairy Tale), was released on September 18, 2018, and is more horror-oriented with elements on this theme. However, in the fall, IC3PEAK’s concerts begin to be disrupted and cancelled by law enforcement. The latter close clubs under more or less relevant pretexts.

At issue: the clip of “Смерти Больше Нет” (“Death No More”) published on October 30, 2018. In it, the group notably sprays itself with kerosene in front of the Russian parliament.
A political satire written just after the re-election of President Vladimir Putin, the song “Death No More” and its video metaphorically evoke “the feeling of distress you feel when you see that nothing changes, that every day looks the same and that the future looks just as bleak.”

In 2020, IC3PEAK released their sixth album, До Свидания, as well as the music videos for Марш (The Walk) and Плак-Плак (Bou-Hou). Both videos reached over a million views on YouTube in less than 24 hours.

In 2022, after the outbreak of war in Ukraine, the duo released a final “Dead but pretty” video shot in Russia before going into exile.
