The band Meute was founded by trumpeter Thomas Burhorn in Hamburg, Germany in 2015.
Consisting of eleven musicians (percussion and brass), Meute makes electronic music visible through the combination of techno and acoustic band instruments.

The group covers and arranges techno, house and deep house works by well-known DJs, augmenting them with electronic rhythms created by brass band instruments.

The band plays acoustically or amplified on big festival stages, in techno clubs and on the street. The intersectional nature of their music has also led Meute to perform in classical settings such as the Hamburg State Opera and the Vienna Concert House.

In October 2019, Meute will release their first live album, Meute Live in Paris, recorded in March 2019 at the Trianon in Paris.
