Jean-Michel Jarre is a French singer-songwriter. A pioneer of electronic music, the composer took the genre to new heights of popularity in the late 1970s and 1980s with his albums “Oxygène”, “Équinoxe” and “Rendez-vous”.
In 1986, he also created a new format of outdoor concert, a “sound and light” show in downtown Houston, in front of nearly one and a half million spectators, which helped pave the way for a new generation of outdoor cultural events.
He is internationally recognized and has sold over 85 million records to date in his career.
