Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, the duo The Shacks consists of vocalist/bassist Shannon Wise and guitarist/producer Max Shrager.

The New York-based band quickly gained attention with their self-titled EP (The Shacks) released in 2016 and then their debut full-length album Haze (2018).

Fueled by Wise’s intimate, inimitable voice and band-generated electricity, the band’s cinematic songs are the soundtrack to a mysterious alternate reality.

A distinctive sound and genre-mixing that can be heard in both their collaboration with the band El Michels Affair in “Strange Boy” (2016) or their recent “Trip To Japan” (2021).
